Thoughts

To the wisest, most intelligent and well respected man I have ever known. I grew up to people calling you Mr Taylor, the man from the Pru or the Bank. In the years to come people would still come to speak to you about their investments and policies that had gone on to make them their future furtunes when you helped get them set up and advised them as only you knew how. A man who could be witty and have a light hearted sense of humour in the toughest of times to crack a joke and make you smile. When surrounded by a tough crowd he would still try and make people laugh and that's what I've taken on from him myself. Although he was many things to many people, I was very lucky to have this most generous and loving man who I was fortunate to get to call My Dad. You were a great bloke who we will all miss so so much, a brilliant Dad to to us three kids and awesome Grandad to your four Grandchildren. I love and miss you so so much already, you have always been an inspiration and thank you for all you and mum have done for your ClaiDavAlis children since the moments we all were lucky enough to meet you to hardest day we are now sorry to be saying goodbye. All My Love, David (Number One Son) Chloe misses her GG already, she knows you are now with Nannan and up in the clouds and having the best of days together. Our little lady is growing fast and follows after you in being a clever cookie. Thank you for all your help with Chlo Beans over these recent years she's been here and for also helping me as often as you have whether with some of those wise words or putting up with me under the same roof as you as you did so often. WE LOVE YOU, BE GOOD XXXX

To my wonderful Dad Geoff Oh I will miss you so so much, your chats and jokes, ringing you every day to fill you in on what is happening with Ethan, Carl and I. Popping in to see you on the way home from school runs and having you come for tea and BBQs. We will miss having you there with us on family holidays and pub meals out. I will go visit the ancient ruins you always wanted to see in Cyprus and one day we’ll get to Canada for the trip you and Mum never got to make together. Ethan will miss his Grandad Pig, he keeps asking after you and if the doctors in heaven are looking after you now and how his Nannan in heaven is doing too. Ethan keeps wanting to see your house and garden in heaven and to ring you – you really were such a loving grandad to Ethan, Chloe, Kaitlyn and Jacob. You were always so funny and your dry sense of humour made everyone laugh, some of your jokes were absolutely terrible, but it was all part of the fun-loving man you were. But also at the same time you were so very sensible and wise, such a clever man, we will never win a pub quiz again now! Thank you for taxi-ing me about in my youth to horse riding and music lessons, for pushing me to do well at school, university and my career. Thanks for all fun weekends out we had as kids at Belton House Adventure Playground and so many holidays we had growing up in the caravan and abroad. You didn’t have an easy life at times and I think I’ve definitely got my resilience and entrepreneurial traits from you. I hope you’ve found your soul mate, my wonderful Mum Tricia again and that you are both dancing to your favourite bands, having fun being together again and are at peace. We will remember you always and your kindness to everyone you met. Sleep Tight Dad – you really were the best Dad I could of ever asked for. I know I’ll see you again one day, I sure hope it isn’t for a very long time as I want as full a life as you had, but do check in on us from time to time and as you always said ‘be good’. Lots of Love Claire xXx

My dear father Geoffrey, you will be so greatly missed by us all. We loved you dearly and you certainly were one of a kind. Your quick-witted sense of humour always brought a smile to many a person’s face. Your kind and comforting words of counsel were at times very needed and appreciated by us all. Definitely the most intelligent man I know, who I’ve had the pleasure to teach and guide me through my life, and I’ll be forever grateful Dad. You have also, along with Mum, been the most loving grandparents to our children. They have been lucky to have such a caring Grandad who has been there all through their life with support, love and guidance. Until we meet again, we will hold our memories tightly in our hearts xxx
